Before becoming a full time consultant, Allen served as Director of Talent Development and Performance Management for Perot Systems, a $1.2 billion IT services company in Dallas. Prior to that, Allen held key positions with DynCorp Technical Services of Fort Worth, Texas and Business Executives for National Security (BENS), a non-profit organization of business leaders based in Washington DC. In December 1999, Allen was fortunate enough to retire from a very successful career as an officer in our nation’s military where he rose to the level of senior people and business strategist. There he held key positions in Planning and Operations, Human Resources, Organizational Development and Department of Defense Acquisition for the Army, Pentagon. In 1999 as the Director of Future Operations for the Secretary of the Army for Research Development and Acquisition, Allen published an extensive White Paper on the evolution of Army Logistics through the year 2025 or, as it is now called, the "Army After Next!"
Allen holds a Master’s Degree in Information Systems from the George Washington University, Washington DC, an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Columbus State University, Columbus Georgia, and is also a graduate of the Army Center and College for Human Resources Professionals, The Army Command and General Staff College, The Center for Strategic Planning and the National Defense University, where he has a concentration in Long Range Planning and Purchasing and Contracting for Information Technology Systems. During his time with the Defense Department, Allen was a noted leader in leader development and strategic thinking and strategy formulation bridging the gap between people, strategy and organizational effectiveness. Allen now brings his highly refined skills to the business sector.
